Artificial intelligence is actively reshaping how clinicians diagnose, plan treatment, and communicate with patients. From periodontics to implant surgery to orthodontics, AI-integrated workflows are enabling more precise, efficient, and patient-centered care across virtually every specialty.
Dr. Marc L. Nevins, D.M.D., M.M.Sc., periodontist and implant specialist at Nevins Dental Center in Boston and Assistant Clinical Professor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, demonstrates how AI is being deployed in his multi-specialty practice to elevate clinical outcomes. He shows how 3-dimensional imaging, automated analysis, and AI-assisted planning are being applied across specialties in daily clinical practice.
AI-enhanced diagnostics are expanding clinical capabilities across:
Periodontal diagnosis
Dental implant planning
Orthodontic treatment planning
